How can families get involved in our College community?

  • Our Library is always looking for volunteers to cover new books etc. Please see our Library Staff to express your interest.
  • A whole College chapel is held twice per Term (see School Calendar on College website, under the Parent Portal Tab).
  • There are also a number of College events throughout the year, where we would really appreciate your help. e.g. Middle/Senior School Splash Carnival and Sports Day are events that will be happening in the first term. These events rely heavily on our wonderful parents/caregivers who volunteer their time. Please register your interest with the Front Office.
  • Navigator College’s Parent Engagement Group will also have a number of events planned throughout the year, and we encourage you to seek more information from the Front Office if you would like to be involved.

How will we communicate important information during the school year?

  • If it is urgent, you will receive a phone call or an SMS message to the caregiver A as indicated on your enrolment form.
  • Sub-School and whole college information will be emailed to caregiver A’s nominated emailed address.
  • Class information will be sent home via a paper copy with the student, and a copy may also be sent to your email.
  • Non urgent whole college information will be placed on the College blog, which if you are subscribed to, you will receive an email.
  • The calendar of events for 2024 is also available on our website.
  • Student notices are available to view on the SEQTA Engage Notices Page.
  • Junior School families will utilise the ‘Seesaw’ App.

Security Cameras

During the holidays a number of projects have been advanced. You will notice the cricket pitch has been reorientated, a Middle School Ninja Course has been installed, an ELC extension for the 3 yr old room has been completed and there are new LED signs at each end of the College soon to be completed. In addition we have recently completed the installation of a new Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) security camera system throughout the College. The system will allow us to provide improved safety and security to our College Environment for our students, staff and visitors and will also add best-practice protection to our facilities. The operation and management of the system will be carried out in accordance with our strict obligations under the Surveillance Devices Act 20216 (SA) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), both of which are reflected in our Navigator College Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Policy.

As a College we are looking forward to an exciting year in 2024 and partnering with you in the important task of providing an education to our students. Please reach out to our team should you have any questions or concerns as the year begins.
